We are visiting and had to come back to Thatcher's two nights in a row! So good. Everything was super delicious with huge portions. I really loved the pulled pork plate with BBQ sauce, the mac and cheese was cheesy heaven, and my boyfriend really enjoyed the sweet potato tater tots. The staff was quick and friendly.

We’re from Fort Payne. Glad we found this place when we were on our way to Chattanooga. My wife had the loaded BBQ potato and I had the pork plate. Food was very good. Some of the sides were especially good, baked beans and fried green tomatoes. We will definitely be back again. Also look forward to visiting the Summerville location.

Really good bbq. My hubby and I shared a brisket plate (we were saving room for dessert), with 3 sides - baked beans, Cole slaw, and potato salad. They were all good, but the beans were really good. They also have good ice tea here (something I’m always in search of). The banana pudding was DELICIOUS, (and I’m picky about my nana pudding), not too sweet. Waitress was kind and attentive. We got there about 2 pm, and it was just getting over being busy. It would be nice if they offered outside seating too.

We was in town buying a vehicle and was talking with the seller about something good to eat... He recommend Thatchers.. Soon as we walked in it smelt like heaven.. LoL They said 30 minute wait (which was more like 12 minutes) but either way we was staying.. LoL. The food was delicious the meat was so tender and cooked to perfection, The coleslaw was perfect, along with the mac and cheese. If you ever in the area, I definitely recommend a stop and by for some delicious barbecue...

Absolutely fantastic!!! We were coming home (AL) from vacation (NC) and made a pit stop for gas. We realized we were hungry and looked up places nearby that had good ratings. This place was wonderful. The restaurant AND bathrooms were very clean!! I had the brisket and okra salad. OMG it was huge and yummy. My husband had the thatcher bucket which was like a hamburger on fries with lots of cheese sauce. Very different and very rich. Our son had the triple dog dare burger and he ate every bit of it. Our waiter was so nice and Johnny on the spot our requests. Josh. Thank you for the recommendations. We left there like a stuffed tick!!!

Best BBQ Ever! Not Greasy! Delicious Sides! My husband loves BBQ, but I tend to stay away from it because most restaurants save money by overloading it with a lot of greasy fat. I did not find that all with Thatcher's BBQ. In fact, it was so good that I ate my entire sandwich with no tummy issues at all. The sides were just as good! Plus, they use the really good ice for beverages. As far as service, the waitress was friendly, and the food arrived in a normal amount of time. There was no long waiting for pre- or post-meal. The restaurant is wheelchair-accessible and has male and female bathrooms. Overall, we were very pleased and do plan on making another trip up to Trenton and having a second helping of that delicious Thatcher's BBQ.

Traveling through and stopped by Thatchers. Dade-Trenton is fortunate to have this gem. Great experience. Inside is updated with clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely worth the stop. Started with the 'Pig Pen' (fried green tomatoes which were perfectly done with excellent sauce) The Man of Smoke (brisket sandwhich) was amazing. One of our group had a Ruben, loved it. Our teen loved their regular cheeseburger, commented how good it was. Another had one of their loaded spuds which was huge and tasty. Chicken was a hit as well. Thatchers tables have three bottles of their sauces which you have to try. Each one was truly great in it's own way. Judging by the rubbed off label on our bottle of the Sweet and Savory, it is the local favorite. But the spicey is equally great, mix it in with the savory if need to tone it down. Do not miss the Mustard Gold, especially if you get onion rings. Price is more than reasonable for a sit down restaurant with great food and service. We would definitely stop here again, highly recommended. Please 'heart' this review if helpful!

I have had brisket many times in my life but I can say the brisket at Thatcher’s in Trenton is by far the best brisket I have ever had. Used to think Texas had the best brisket but now I know Trenton, GA is the best. My wife got the Man of Smoke sandwich which has always been our favorite. I got the Brickhouse on Fire which is now my new favorite. It’s almost a 50 minute drive for us but worth every minute. Not only was the food great but the service and atmosphere were phenomenal.
